Can I place an investment from a Trust?

Yes, you can submit an investment from a Trust provided that it uses your personal social security number for the purposes of reporting tax information to the IRS. If your Trust uses its own Tax ID Number (TIN or EIN) for tax purposes, then we unfortunately cannot facilitate investments from it at this time. This is due to a recent change in U.S. federal banking regulation.

Investments committed by entities (like a Trust) must also have a U.S. bank account, pay U.S. taxes, and qualify as accredited.

For a Trust that is a disregarded entity to qualify as accredited, you will need to upload accreditation evidence that shows that you are the grantor of the trust and that you are accredited. See here for more information about accreditation.
